These Utah Taxpayers Needed a Path Forward—And So Do You

Every case below started with a serious IRS problem and a Utah taxpayer who didn’t know if there was a way forward. There was.

The Law Offices of Jordan F. Wilcox has helped people through aggressive negotiations with the IRS and Utah State Tax Commission, including:

  • Business owners with unpaid payroll taxes or unfiled returns
  • Individuals with $80,000+ in federal or state tax liability
  • Anyone facing liens, levies, garnishment, or an assigned revenue officer
  • Utah business owners trying to protect what they’ve built

Serious tax problems have real solutions, and these tax attorney reviews show how experienced legal representation can help taxpayers toward a structured resolution.

Taxpayer With 8 Years of Unfiled Returns

A taxpayer with eight years of unfiled returns came in, terrified of how much she “owed” the IRS.

We got her into filing compliance by replacing the IRS “guesstimate” returns with accurately prepared returns, and instead of owing the IRS anything, she received a refund from the IRS.

Contractor With Tax Liens

A contractor with tax liens could not renew his contractor’s license with the State.

We got him into filing compliance and a manageable payment plan to remove his tax liens. The relief we provided allowed the taxpayer to renew his contractor’s license, remain in business, and continue to provide for his family.

Family Restaurant Owners Have Unpaid Payroll Taxes

Mom and Pop restaurant owners came in with over $220,000 in tax liabilities for unpaid payroll taxes spanning several tax periods. We got the IRS to agree to a deferral of lien filing while the taxpayer raised money to make a large lump sum payment to get them into a position to qualify for a streamlined installment agreement.

After resolving the filing compliance and unpaid liabilities, we showed the IRS where they overtaxed the business, which resulted in a refund check of $20,000 from the IRS.

Tax Attorney Reviews—Read What Our Clients Have to Say

When you’re dealing with the IRS, the last thing you need is confusion about where your case stands. Clients who work with Jordan can expect clear communication about where their case stands, what steps are being taken, and what the IRS may do next.

Case results depend on the facts, documents, compliance history, income, assets, and IRS collection posture in each matter. Prior outcomes do not guarantee or predict a similar result.

Frequently Asked Questions

What results have you achieved for IRS tax debt cases?

Jordan has represented Utah taxpayers in cases involving hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal and state tax liabilities, helping clients resolve debt through negotiated settlements, installment agreements, lien removal, and filing compliance. Our consistent goal is to stop enforcement action and reach a structured resolution.

See the full range of situations we handle.

Do you have experience with six-figure tax liabilities?

Yes. Jordan’s cases involve significant federal liabilities, often $100,000 or more, with many cases in the $200,000–$600,000 range. High-dollar cases require precise strategy, deep familiarity with IRS procedure, and the kind of experience that comes from handling these situations repeatedly over more than a decade in Utah.

Can you share examples similar to my situation?

The case results on this page cover a range of common scenarios: unfiled returns, payroll tax debt, and business owner liens. Each of our tax attorney reviews reflects real outcomes for real Utah clients. The most direct way to understand your options is to schedule a confidential consultation. Jordan will review your situation and give you an honest picture of where things stand.

Have you helped Utah business owners save their companies?

Yes. A significant portion of Jordan’s caseload involves Utah business owners, particularly in construction, trades, and family-run operations. The IRS treats payroll tax debt seriously, and enforcement moves fast. Early representation matters. If your business is at risk, start here with a consultation.

What does success usually look like in a tax case?

Success looks different depending on the situation. For some clients, it’s a negotiated settlement that reduces the total owed. For others, it’s a payment structure that stops enforcement and keeps a business running. For others still, it’s discovering the IRS miscalculated and recovering money. What Jordan focuses on is stopping the pressure, controlling the timeline, and getting to a resolution where you can actually move forward.

Are your reviews from real clients?

Yes. We believe the best IRS tax attorney reviews come from people who have been through the realities of IRS enforcement and have seen real relief. The reviews and testimonials on this page are from actual clients who hired Jordan to represent them in IRS matters.
